In 1914, all up and down what was then a smaller portion of what would become a larger front, the men of the British, French and German armies set aside their weapons for a few days during an unplanned, unannounced Christmas-time truce. And, it almost didn’t end.
How did this happen? Accounts vary.
Somehow, these men — in the midst of a war — decided there wouldn’t be a war today. And, maybe not the next day, either.
We have built a story around these events. Jack, a young British solider who has joined the war in hopes of seeing his brother Simon again and discovers something about himself that he never thought possible.
